My medium is primarily Copper and occasionally aluminum in sheet and wire form. I cut, form and hammer shapes from these metals to craft lifelike copper sculptures inspired by the diverse wild life, marine life and flora from the western mountains to the coastal plains of North Carolina. My works come in many presentations. Creatures such as a full-size Great Blue Heron, a Red Tail Hawk with a 42" wingspan or a life-sized Bear Cub; Marine subjects like a handsome Sea Turtle, a watchful Octopus or whimsical Reef Fish; and always underway, renditions of flowers, butterflies and the inspiration for my artist career, nature’s majestic trees from NC’s forests. Recently, I’ve launched a line of copper earrings and necklaces. Commissions are always welcome.
