Brandy Clements & Dave Klingler consider themselves ambassadors of the craft of chair caning. They operate Silver River Center for Chair Caning, the nation's only chair caning school and museum. Having restored thousands of chairs over the last 15 years, they are now focused on education, preservation, and travel to promote the craft and the chair nerd culture. They have been in the River Arts District for 10 years and are an official education center of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Their 2500sq foot industrial chic space in CURVE Studios and Garden has a museum, open workshop and classroom area, and sexy red floors with exposed brick walls. Outside in the garden, don't miss The Chair Arch, a public art sculpture installed in October, 2019.
