It is all about the light and that has not changed as long as humans are on the the planet. To observe the light and how it changes is my fascination.For some odd reason I relate more to the painters of the Golden Age than today’s art. I think this is because I feel the possibility of traditional oil paint which is rooted in the craft of image-making. I see painting as a craft, more than an art. I feel uncomfortable in the field of Art as if artists are out there to deceive me with a story. I like people to become aware of the light. I teach people the basic skill of drawing and painting, so they can be confident in their expression of their own little world.
