Illustrator and Ceramic Artist
My illustrations are colorful and cheery, and most recently have been primarily been created for a jigsaw puzzle company. I also do prints of collections of things: animals, plants, flowers, and fish, that are available to be used as wall art. And I have illustrated a number of children's books as well as gift books and an interactive journal called "Drawing for Joy".
I have always been an illustrator but in the years since I have lived in Asheville, I have added ceramics to my repertoire. I have always loved clay, and love making something that I know people will enjoy in a sustainable way. I typically decorate my pieces with slips, underglaze and carve into the leather hard clay before bisque firing, after which I apply a clear glaze and fire again.
I gladly accept commissions for both painting and ceramics.
