I paint abstract narrative works, often with a focus on the imaginative world. I tend to gravitate towards that which is beautiful in both it's light and its darkness. Celebrating the youthful mind, the allure of the foreign, the act of wonder, and the transformative power of human emotion, my attempt is to inspire the viewer’s own imagination through a combination of the familiar and the unknown.

My work is highly process driven as I usually start each painting in a purely abstract fashion and slowly morph the composition into some sort of figurative allusion as the work progresses. Hands and faces and different figurative elements may come into and vanish out of the painting as it develops until finally, there appears some sort of narrative that speaks something special to me.
