I transform loose, natural fibers into fine art pieces: vessels and window and wall hangings. My process is somewhat unique. Each piece is composed of bits of silk, mohair, wool and bamboo sewn (sometimes felted) into a flat piece of "fibric", rather like a piece of fabric. Yep! With my sewing machine. After sewing, those fibers are flat and held together into what I call "fibric"!

After shaping into a vessel or applying the "fibric" to glass, there are multiple layers of metallic paint and epoxy applied to each piece. Many people comment that because of the way the light passes through the "fibric", the pieces look like stained glass.

I'd be happy to work with you to create just the right, one-of-a-kind piece for a space in your home, or to give as a gift!
