A successful piece of art needs to provoke an idea or a feeling. I love hearing the stories and emotions that come to the surface for someone looking at one of my paintings. I want the audience to get lost in their own interpretation of the luminous colors, deep layers and organic textures I've created. Each painting is a personal expression into which I pour my curiosity, feelings and countless creative decisions about colors, shapes and textures while balancing simplicity and complexity. The ultimate reward for me is when my personal expression resonates with another person on some level. To me, that connection is the real magic of art.
