Sandra Bottinelli has been evolving as an artist for almost 30 years. Her work is continually evolving as she is constantly experimenting and learning. She has a passion for combining traditional oil techniques with modern subjects within the dichotomy of Abstract Realism. This approach leaves the observer without clear interpretations for what’s happening in her work, thus, you feel Sandra’s work before you understand it.
Bottinelli received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan. Her appreciation of multicultural approaches and lens called her to Salamanca and Barcelona, Spain for continued studies.
Prior to co-founding Modern Muse Gallery (which was destroyed during hurricane Helene), she was a 10 year resident artist at Wedge Studios in Asheville’s River Arts District. Sandra is excited to rebuild, and open her new gallery, Bottinelli Fine Art, in Spring 2025.
