In this beginner-friendly class, Heather will guide you in developing simple 4-step painting and mixed-media techniques designed to empower you to trust in your creativity – have fun and achieve the results you are looking for!
Dive into the world of acrylic paint, water soluble pencils, gelatos, crayons and acrylic inks! Learn layering techniques on canvas, master basic color mixing with complementary limited palettes and discover the sequence of layering mixed media with fantastic results. Explore various brush techniques to introduce texture to your painting, and use of shaper palette and brayers for a naturalistic finish.
Using a variey of symbols as our subject will provide an easy and meaningful way to bring out your own creativity. You may bring a symbol that is meaningful to you or choose from a selection available in the studio.
