The Painter’s Craft – Materials & Tools for Painting with Oils

An introduction to painting in oils. For all levels of experience. Two days, hands on workshop. Learn the methods of masters and basis for still-life, landscape and portrait. A thorough introduction to gesso grounds, pigments, oils, varnishes and solvents to achieve optimum color brilliance and longevity. Students will prepare their own gessoed panels, linen panels and gessoed paper. All supplies and materials provided. Bring a notebook, and pack your lunch. Coffee, tea available.
