Who am I, Who are We? “The Vortex” Open House at Riverside Studios

Crawford Haase’s oil paintings will be the focus of this months Second Saturday at Riverside Studios. Crawford’s painting “Guelaguetza Dancers” is inspired by the dancers from the Oaxaca regions of Mexico.

These dancers not only move the air, but also our hearts. We are drawn in by their colorful costumes and their graceful movements. The word Guelaguetza means gift or offering, and every year the Guelaguetza Festival celebrates the maize goddess.

Our beautiful building located on the corner of West Haywood Street and Riverside Drive, dates back to the 1890’s and has its origin in the early industrial days of the River Arts District.
